Mark Sanders is the managing director of MAS Design, a product design and engineering consulting agency founded in Great Britain in 1984. After studying Industrial Design Engineering at the Royal College of Art, London, he began his career as an engineer at Rolls Royce. On a freelance basis, Sanders also teaches design at different universities around the world. He has also already received numerous design awards for his products. | |

His father, Ike Tseng, founded Merida in 1972. Michael Tseng has been working in the bicycle industry for more than 20 years. Edward Chiang is the director of design for Giant Bicycle, a bicycle manufacturer in Taiwan. Chiang earned his degree at New York University and studied Design Management at Parsons School for Design, New York. Chiang is one of the founders of DEM Inc., a brand and design consulting office in Taiwan. | |
Francois Liang is the General Manager of the Cycling and Health Tech. Industry R&D Center (CHC) in Taichung, Taiwan. The graduate in Naval Architecture Engineering also earned a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering in 2003. Liang has worked in different capacities in various fields of engineering in the aero and auto industry since 1984. He has been employed at CHC since 1997 – responsible first and foremost for the development of bicycle products. Liang has been involved in the bicycle industry for the past 15 years. | |
Johann Geiger studied Industrial Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Munich. After completing his studies in 1983, he joined target-DESIGN Studio, where he was then employed as a chief designer from 1988 to 2004. Since that time, he has been teaching Transportation and Industrial Design at the Dayeh University in Taiwan. He also works as a designer and a consultant. | |
Watanabe Noritsuna studied Industrial Design in Tokyo University of the Arts. After completing his studies in 1965 he joined the Toyota Motor Corp vehicle design variously and promoted to the director of design at second group until 2000. After that, from 2001 to 2010, he taught overall design as an associate professor at the Tunghai University in Taiwan and currently works as a part-time lecturer at Nagoya University of Arts and Science. |
